Rotary kiln is the main equipment of cement clinker dry -process and wet -process production line. It is widely used for many industries like metallurgy, chemical industry, building refractory materials, environmental protection, etc. The rotary kiln consists of cylindrical shell, supporting device, supporting device of thrust roller, driving unit, moveable kiln head, sealing device on the tail of kiln, coal dust pipe device, etc. the kiln body has a certain tilt angle with level. The whole kiln body is supported by the roller supporting device, and it is also equipped with thrust roller device to control the up and down movement of the kiln body. Besides the main driving unit, the driving system is also equipped with auxiliary driving unit for keeping the kiln body rolling and preventing the kiln body from any bending and distortion. As to the kin head and tail, they are sealed reliably by advanced technology.

Rotary kiln belongs to building material equipment, which can be divided into cement kiln, metallurgy chemical kiln and lime kiln according to different materials.
Cement kiln is used for making of cement clinker and there are dry and wet methods to make cement. metallurgy chemical kiln is used for magnetic roasting of iron ore and oxidizing roasting of chrome and nickel in the steel factory; baking high-alumina mine in the refractory material factory; baking chamotte and alumina in the aluminum factory and baking chrome ore and chrome powder in the chemical plant.
Lime kiln is used for baking active lime and dolomite in the steel factory and ferroalloy factory.
